School is more than just a place where students learn.  It is an enriching, rewarding experience that sets a foundation for lifelong learning. School District No. 50 (Haida Gwaii) is committed to providing the best possible education in academic, sporting and cultural arenas.

At School District 50, every student has the opportunity to make a unique contribution and is given one-on-one attention to ensure they reach their full potential. We promote personal growth that develops tolerance, understanding and respect for each other.  We provide education in a safe and friendly atmosphere with small class sizes and an emphasis on the key skills of literacy and numeracy.

School District 50 believes the relationship between the home and the school is a vital one. We work together with families in a personal, family oriented environment to ensure students become more positive and confident learners.
